THE DIRECTOR…..
Prabodh Rath is a director, actor and playwright par excellence. His One-Act Plays has been staged both in different parts of India with much appreciation by the audience and critically-acclaimed by the critics. He has passionately been engaged in promoting One-Act plays and theatres in youths in a poor and backward district like Kalahandi, where the art has a critical role to play in conscientizing the masses against deep rooted social norms and practices—attributing towards the sluggish growth of the districts.
Prabodh’s work has been recognized and honored by several State and national level Arts Institutions. He is being felicitated with various ‘Samman’ as an appreciation of his piece of work in capacities of a director, actor or playwright. DIRECTOR’S NOTE…..
The long wait, the King Ravana is seeking the presence of Lord Sri Rama to get free from this Universe. Thus, he acquires the lordship over the universe tyrannically over the people to conquer them. For which he involves in war. The intrinsic value is only to meet Ramachandra for salvation. The war is only to invite Sri Ram for his redemption from this earth nothing else. This is why the eagerness is rising through illusion and a false notion to his people to construct the ladder to Heaven, so all the citizens of Lanka will also go to the heaven along with Ravana. But the war is never be a solution to any problem. The passion of King for colonialism is always affects the common citizen of a Country. This has been happening for thousands of years. But the attitude of ruler has not changed till to day and the suffering continues….

Vagdevi Literature Trust was created in 2017. The concept of creating such multi-faceted organisation was woven around the purpose of making the world a more inclusive place of Art, Culture, Literature and Language are the mirror and reflection of people’s life and living. The issues that we face in our everyday living are sometimes very little discussed. We created a platform where thinkers, pioneers, experts, poets, authors, writers, actors and exponents of art and culture are coming together to unveil the mystery of the world around us.

At the battlefield the horror of death is afflicting life. People are suffering. In order to acquire the lordship over the Universe, the tyrannical appetite of the Lord wants to conduct war
He wants to put his people under false promises and delusion. An immortal ladder to Heaven!
Seven sacred rivers will convert into even more holy religious ones. Promises made of some sweet and shattered dreams. But the symbol of suzerainty, the king Ravana, is very well aware of the fact that his life is going end very soon at the feet of Ramachandra. The supreme lord might be a dream. Or maybe Ravana will wake up with some false expectation. But there’s a definite eagerness of waiting for the Lord.
